Bright Angel

MILE 88

Bright Angel Creek is a large stream that comes down from the north rim and its mouth is also located directly below Grand Canyon Village on the south rim. This makes it a major trail crossing - with two suspension bridges and watering facilities (for both mules and raft trips). This is where river trips are broken - with some folks only running the first part and others only running the second. On our trip, we had 17 passengers from Lee's Ferry to here. Three couples are leaving us and no one is being added, so we have only 11 folks (plus 7 crew) for the next 8 days. Rachel hiked out this morning with Greg, Camille, Bill, Dianna, Joe, and Ricki, and Colby hiked in to take her place.
